Since 1971, the Foundation has also aided 4-H programs in Latin America, where the organization is more commonly known as 4-S - Saber (to know), Sentir (to feel), Saude (health), and Servir (to serve); or 4-C - Corazon (heart), Cabeza (head), Cooperacion (cooperation), and Capacidad (ability). In Latin America, 4-C and 4-S clubs' activities develop skills needed for survival in the real world. Members learn how to maintain improved health, hygiene, and nutritional and agricultural standards.
