your appeal, you can make your appeal directly to VillageCareMAX Full Advantage FIDA Plan instead. For details, see Section 7.4 “What happens if I miss an appeal deadline.”

What is a Quality Improvement Organization?
It is a group of doctors and other health care professionals who are paid by the federal government. These experts are not part of VillageCareMAX Full Advantage FIDA Plan. They are paid by Medicare to check on and help improve the quality of care for people with Medicare.
Ask for a “fast review”
You must ask the Quality Improvement Organization for a “fast review” of your discharge. Asking for a “fast review” means you are asking for the organization to use the fast deadlines for an appeal instead of using the standard deadlines.
